SLS-France is a sustainability program run at Georgia Tech-Europe in Metz, France every fall. Dr. Stepanov was the Fall 2023 director of SLS-France. Her iteration of the program focused on environmental equity and justice. Learn more on the SLS Blog.


Interact with the community partners in Metz, France through service-learning projects that encourage true French language immersion and community action. Engage in projects that make a difference.


Start with two core courses, one classroom-based and one community-based, and then personalize the experience with your choice of two targeted electives to round out the curriculum while immersed in French language and culture.


Focus on the region’s sustainability efforts to fight for environmental justice and make the study of ecology more inclusive and diverse.
